A failed loft extractor fan replaced the same day in St Albans.
The bathroom fan had stopped. We went out that afternoon, confirmed the inline fan in the loft had failed and fitted a new one on the same visit.

The bathroom extractor fan in a St Albans home had stopped working. It was an inline fan up in the loft, so the customer couldn't see what was wrong. They called us on the Monday and wanted it sorted quickly.

What we found
- The supply to the fan at its fused spur was fine, so it wasn't a wiring or fuse fault
- The inline extractor fan itself had failed
What we did
- Attended the same day the customer called
- Checked the supply at the fan's fused spur with a socket tester
- Fitted a replacement 150mm inline extractor fan with timer, picked up on the way so no second visit was needed
- Reconnected the fan to the existing ducting, tested it and left it running
Equipment used
- Turbo Tube 150mm inline extractor fan with timer
- Kewtech Kewcheck 103 socket tester
