- Southwark EICR and LD1 programme
828 homes in Southwark: an EICR and an LD1 fire alarm upgrade in each.
Between February and August 2026 our engineers inspected and upgraded homes across Peckham, Camberwell, East Dulwich and Herne Hill for the main contractor Pilon.

The programme
From February to August 2026 we carried out 828 jobs at 821 addresses in Southwark for Pilon. Each one was an EICR together with an LD1 fire alarm upgrade.
| Postcode | Area | Jobs |
|---|---|---|
| SE15 | Peckham | 445* |
| SE5 | Camberwell | 249 |
| SE22 | East Dulwich | 50 |
| SE24 | Herne Hill | 31 |
| SE21 | Dulwich | 24 |
| SE1 | Southwark and Borough | 10 |
| SE8, SE14, SE16, SE17, SE19, SE23 | Other Southwark and Lewisham postcodes | 19 |
* 198 of the SE15 jobs were logged with the postcode district only. One job had no postcode and is counted in the last row.
What LD1 means. Under BS 5839-6, an LD1 system puts smoke or heat detection in the escape routes and in every room where a fire might start, apart from bathrooms, shower rooms and toilets. It is the highest category of fire detection for a home. See fire alarm grades LD1, LD2 and LD3.
Social landlords in England now need a current EICR on every home: for tenancies that began before 1 December 2025, the first round of inspections must be done by 1 November 2026.
How we run a programme
- One team, one standard. Our own employed engineers, working to the same test schedule and photo record on every property.
- Access planned around residents. We work to the client’s booking and access arrangements, and record no-access visits so they can be rebooked.
- Records you can file. Every visit is photographed, and certificates and reports come back in the format the client asks for.
- Remedials by the same team. What the inspection finds is quoted and put right without handing over to another firm.
Housing providers, managing agents and main contractors can talk to us about EICR programmes, fire alarm upgrades and ongoing repairs. Call 01727 238 999.
From our completion reports
Photos from our LD1 completion reports for Pilon: every alarm is photographed, with its replace-by date.
